Tehran, YJC. Ahmadinejad is said to be planning to launch a foundation under the name of Bahar which means that Spring in farsi.
It is said that toward the end of his term, Ahmadinejad is going to launch a foundation much in the same way the former President Mohammad Khatami did before his administration ended.
Eight years ago Khatami launched a foundation and named it the Baran [rain] Foundation. There he gathered ministers and others close to him. The foundation became for him a place to keep friends in touch, maybe for one day when he would have liked to become President again, or when he decided to be politically influential anyway.
Throughout the past years all the Baran sessions have been unquiveringly reported.
Now it seems that Ahmadinejad would like to do the same. Maybe one reason for him to do so is that he does not want to take any official position after leaving his presidency, that is, maybe he would like to reach the same place as Khatami.
Some sources have said that the only certain information about this foundation is that a 4-story building has been assigned for it in Valiasr St. and grounds are being laid for the foundation to start operation.
The question remains whether Ahmadinejad would be able to travel on the same path as Khatami and think of another rise to power from his foundation.
